Job summary

Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Wichita Falls is seeking a Correctional Business Assistant to support telehealth operations and clinic coordination. You will help with Telehealth presentations, patient throughput, and EMR note processing to ensure smooth care delivery.

The position requires a high school diploma and at least three years of clerical experience; EMR familiarity and Telehealth exposure are preferred. Day shift, full-time, hourly pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Three years progressively responsible clerical experience.
• Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Telehealth presenting.
• Ensure continuity of care for specialty telehealth clinics.

• Process provider notes for accurate and complete information.
• Manage reminders in the electronic medical records (EMR) system.
• Take vital signs.
• Respond to all requests in a timely manner as required and necessary for effective communication.
• Support the goal of the unit by attending meetings.
• Effectively participate in the overall goals of the Managed Care team.
• Other duties as assigned.

Visa Information

Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees in a correctional institution

Major/Essential Functions

• Assist with Telehealth presenting.

About Managed CareSince 1989, TTUHSC Managed Care has been providing clinical and operational support to correctional facilities throughout West Texas and other regional areas. We serve approximately 30,000 patients utilizing a broad range of comprehensive medical and health services. TTUHSC Managed Care strives to positively impact the lives of our patients, to include many who had no previous access to quality health care.

Required Qualifications

Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.

Preferred Qualifications

One (1) year of experience using medical and behavioral health terminology in a clinical setting, including EMR-based scheduling, note processing, reminder management, clinic operations support, and Telehealth coordination.
