Job summary

NaphCare is hiring a Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) at the Facility Name in Facility Location City, State. The role supports care for residents with mental health, developmental, or substance use disorders under licensed clinicians, including crisis intervention and daily living assistance.

Pay ranges from $22.00 to $25.00 per hour, with benefits for full-time staff and opportunities for career advancement within NaphCare.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Active BLS CPR certification (AHA preferred) required.
• Current tuberculosis documentation
• Experience in mental health, psychiatric, or residential care setting preferred.
• Strong interpersonal communication, patience, empathy, and ability to work in high-stress environments.
• Must pass facility background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Carry out behavior modification plans and crisis intervention as prescribed.
• Observe, record, and report patient behavior and progress to the team.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as hygiene, grooming, meals.
• Conduct safety checks and maintain a secure environment.
• Maintain accurate records of patient behavior and interactions.
• Provide emotional support and facilitate group activities.
