Job summary

Centurion Health is seeking a full-time Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at the Taylorville Correctional Center in Taylorville, IL. This role involves participating in treatment planning, providing therapeutic support, and creating scheduling databases.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Social Science is required along with experience in activities programming for mentally ill patients. The position includes comprehensive benefits like health insurance, 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a Social Science.
• Two years or more experience providing activities programming for patients who have a serious mental illness preferred.
• Competencies with Excel sufficient to create, maintain, and update scheduling databases.
• Must maintain current tuberculosis documentation and active CPR/AED certification.
• Must be able to pass a background investigation and obtain agency security clearance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Participates in weekly multidisciplinary treatment planning meetings and implements interventions for patients.
• Provides therapeutic support services, including programming, psychosocial groups, crisis management, and leisure activities.
• Assists in preparation and maintenance of records and data management.
• Provides support for operation of telepsychiatry services.
• Performs all duties as assigned by leadership.
