Job summary

CorrHealth is seeking a Licensed Addiction Counselor to provide comprehensive behavioral health services to inmates within a correctional setting. You will conduct intake assessments, perform diagnoses, and implement clinical interventions tailored to SUD populations.

Responsibilities include delivering MAT support, developing weekly individual sessions and groups, and coordinating with staff and external facilities to ensure continuity of care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a clinical field is required.
• Active LAC credential in good standing with Colorado DORA.
• Proficient in behavioral therapy, CBT, motivational interviewing, etc.
• Experience in patient assessment and care.
• Minimum of two years with alcohol/drug addiction or substance abuse counseling.
• Experience with incarcerated populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes intake assessments
• Serves as consultant for unit staff regarding assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning
• Supports inmates on medication assisted treatment (MAT)
• Monitors inmate treatment and documentation for standards and continuity of care
• Establishes a clinical program with weekly individual sessions and groups
• Provides clinical direction to non-clinical staff in behavioral healthcare
• Assures continuity of care by referrals and documentation for receiving facilities
• Provides crisis intervention
• Documents electronically in inmate behavioral health records
• Communicates with inmates about care and medication effects
• Counsels inmates and guides staff within clinical unit
• Maintains standards per professional and organizational policies
• Attends monthly staff meetings and trainings
• Assume additional duties as assigned
