Job summary

CorrHealth seeks a Licensed Addiction Counselor to provide substance use disorder services to inmates, including assessments and clinical interventions in a correctional facility. You will conduct intake assessments, support MAT, develop treatment plans, and document in electronic health records, collaborating with unit staff and external agencies.

Candidates hold an active LAC credential in Colorado and a Master's in a related field; at least two years of experience with incarcerated

Qualifications

• Master's level education in a related field (e.g., MA Clinical Psych, MA Counseling, MA Social Work).
• Active Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) credential in good standing with Colorado DORA.
• Proficient in behavioral therapy, CBT, and motivational interviewing.
• Experience in patient assessment and care.
• Minimum of two years of experience with alcohol and/or drug addiction or substance abuse counseling.

Responsibilities

• Completes intake assessments.
• Provides crisis intervention.
• Documents electronically to maintain inmate behavioral health records.
• Monitors treatment and continuity of care.
• Establishes weekly individual sessions and groups.
• Provides clinical direction to staff in behavioral healthcare.
• Ensures continuity of care through referrals and documentation.
• Assists with MAT and treatment planning.
• Interacts with inmates regarding their behavioral health care.
