Job summary

The Salvation Army USA Southern Territory in Houston, TX seeks a Regular Full-Time role to lead religious programs and community outreach. The position involves evangelistic preaching, spiritual guidance, and coordinating day-to-day Corps operations with volunteers and staff.

You will supervise religious and social service activities, develop budgets, and ensure compliant operations while sharing the Army’s mission and serving those in need in the local community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in a related field or three years’ experience performing mission work or program development for a church or corps; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid State Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

• Serves as an evangelist through the proclamation of Jesus Christ, with the aim of spiritual regeneration and membership growth in The Salvation Army.
• Develops and leads worship services and ministerial programs; recruits and supervises volunteers; plans and coordinates day-to-day Corps operations.
• Participates in social service programs and ensures budgetary compliance for Corps operations.
