Withum's Tax Services Group comprises a team of tax specialists dedicated to ensuring accurate and timely tax reporting while minimizing or deferring tax payments. Their expertise spans international, US federal, state, and local regulations, aided by our affiliation with HLB International, enabling us to develop economical tax strategies worldwide. Services include Business, Individual, State & Local tax, R&D Tax Credit, and International and Private Client services.

As a Corporate Tax Manager based in our San Francisco office, you will collaborate with seasoned CPAs and industry leaders. Your role will involve leading all aspects of tax engagements, supervising and mentoring staff, and maintaining client relationships.

How you'll spend your time:

• Reviewing individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns prepared by staff and seniors for accuracy.
• Researching and drafting memoranda on complex tax matters.
• Identifying and implementing tax planning opportunities.
• Handling and resolving tax controversies.
• Overseeing comprehensive tax research projects across various industries.
• Managing multiple engagements simultaneously with different teams to meet deadlines.
• Conducting evaluations and providing counsel to team members.
• Participating in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.

We look for people who:

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in accounting, CPA license, JD, or a Master's of Science in Taxation.
• Have at least 5 years of experience in a public accounting tax department, leading engagements and supervising staff.
• Possess excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Demonstrate exceptional client service and communication skills, with the ability to develop strong client relationships.
• Can manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Exhibit strong leadership, training, mentoring abilities, and excellent presentation skills.
• Have excellent organizational, project management skills, and attention to detail.

The compensation varies by location. For California or New York City residents, the San Francisco salary range is $150,000 to $200,000. In addition to base salary, Withum offers competitive benefits and a bonus program based on performance. Final offers depend on role, location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
