Job description

Embark on a journey as a Corporate Strategy VP at Barclays. In this role, you will provide advice to the bank's Group Executives and Board on urgent business opportunities and challenges. You will work closely with senior stakeholders to solve complex issues by developing project approaches, frameworks, conducting analyses, and identifying industry trends.

To succeed as a Corporate Strategy VP, you should have experience with:

  • Financial modeling, valuation, and strategic advisory, gained through investment banking experience
  • Creating and delivering clear, impactful executive presentations that translate complex data into strategic insights
  • Managing entire project lifecycles from planning to post-implementation analysis

Additional valued skills include:

  • Influencing skills to drive alignment across teams without direct authority
  • Creative problem-solving with a track record of generating strategic insights
  • Exceptional communication skills tailored to diverse audiences and decision-makers

This position is located in New York, NY.

Salary Range: $180,000 - $210,000 (base salary only, excluding other benefits)

Purpose of the role

Provide independent, balanced advice to senior stakeholders through problem-solving and decision-making practices.

Accountabilities

  • Provide strategic advice to support decision-making on business challenges and opportunities
  • Develop and implement strategic advisory initiatives to grow and optimize bank operations through research and analysis
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify strategic directions aligning with client and investor needs
  • Build financial models supporting strategic recommendations and transactions
  • Manage transactions, negotiations, and integration post-transaction
  • Maintain and develop client relationships to identify new opportunities
  • Identify industry trends, conduct benchmarking, and attend conferences for ongoing market research

  • If managing a team, define roles, plan for future needs, counsel employees, and lead specialists to influence operations
