Corporate Security Programs & Governance Manager
Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Drives standardization and maturity in planning and implementation of corporate security core and future services, security programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Sustains the enterprise security risk management policy framework, assurance processes, performance infrastructure, and enabling tools that make corporate physical security and resilience programs consistent, executable, and measurable at scale.
  • Orchestrates performance management processes to track functional/program KPIs and metrics, driving security continuous improvement and results delivery.
  • Produces executive-level reporting on program health, compliance posture, and trend analysis.
  • Enables project and portfolio management including tracking mechanisms for initiative intake, scope, capacity, delivery, and success criteria.
  • Supports security leaders to translate policy into operationally executable site-level procedures, address risks, close gaps, and ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and customer obligations.
  • Stays current on industry trends, emerging threats, and innovative security solutions to continuously enhance the effectiveness of security programs; enables functional adoption and deployment of fit‑for‑purpose workflow automation and AI‑assisted tools to improve efficiency and responsiveness.
  • Builds and sustains strong relationships with key internal stakeholders to ensure a business‑aligned, integrated approach to security.
  • Manages/oversees key, strategic vendor relationships and performance.

Additional Accountabilities:

  • As needed, may provide ad hoc security advisory or operational support to Coherent business units globally.

Education & Experience:

  • 8+ years project/program management, risk governance, or related role, preferably with experience at a multi‑site, global manufacturer.
  • Exposure to and familiarity with corporate physical security domains and content or related areas such as risk, resilience, & business continuity; health & safety; GRC, etc.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading/managing transformation initiatives, managing programs/projects, and utilizing operational excellence/continuous improvement methodologies to drive measurable results.
  • Track record of shepherding cross‑functional initiatives from ideation through execution and delivery.
  • Vendor and budget management (operating and capital) experience.

Working Conditions:

  • Minimum three days on‑site.
  • Primarily office‑based with some exposure to production floor(s), warehousing operations, etc.
  • Available to attend early or late meetings to accommodate our global teams.
  • On‑call responsibilities to provide response to security matters during non‑working hours.
  • Occasional domestic and international travel.
