Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment is seeking an armed security professional to protect guests, team members, and property at our Orlando location. You will enforce security procedures, deter crime, and assist law enforcement as needed.

The role requires multiple certifications and a willingness to work rotating shifts. You'll operate access controls, document incidents, and respond to calls in various conditions.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• At least 3 years of professional armed security or law enforcement experience.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Florida Class D Security Officer License and Class G Firearm License required.
• Able to lift 75 lbs, push/pull 50 lbs, and climb to heights.
• Able to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Enforce security and vehicular procedures per company standards.
• Maintain a high profile of security to deter crime and assist guests and team members.
• Assist law enforcement when appropriate.
• Control access to company property and inspect vehicles and bags for contraband.
• Respond quickly to calls for service in adverse conditions (extreme temperatures, weather, darkness, heights).
• Investigate security incidents and write reports as needed.
• Operate stations, maintain logs, issue keys, check IDs, and manage traffic.
• Resolve guest complaints and incidents courteously and effectively.
• Document and disseminate critical information promptly.
• Perform other departmental duties as instructed by management.

• Enforce Security and vehicular procedures per company standards
• Maintain a high profile of security presence to deter criminal activity and serve guest and team members
• Be able and willing to assist Law Enforcement when appropriate
• Control access to company property to ensure that the approved access policy is being adhered to; this includes vehicle and bag inspections to prevent contraband and the removal of company assets
• Respond quickly and appropriately to calls for service and work in adverse conditions which include but are not limited to, extreme temperatures, inclement weather, darkness and heights
• Investigate security related incidents; this includes writing reports as needed
• Operate stations, maintain logs, issue keys, check IDs, control vehicle and pedestrian traffic and maintain cleanliness in your area
• Courteously and effectively resolve guest complaints, disagreements and incidents
• Document and disseminate critical information in a timely manner
• Perform other departmental ad hoc duties as instructed by management

What It Takes To Succeed

• High School Diploma or GED
• Have or willing to become CPR/AED and First Aid certified
• At least three years of professional armed security or law enforcement experience. Candidates with private security experience must have served in an armed security capacity.
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Class D Security Officer License and Class G Statewide Firearm License.
• Must be able to lift 75 pounds, push/pull 50 pounds and climb to reasonable heights
• Must be able to work rotating shifts.
