Job summary

SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment seeks dedicated security-minded individuals to join as Ambassadors. You will ensure guest safety, security and satisfaction, serving in multiple roles within the security and operations teams to provide a reassuring presence for guests and staff alike.

The role includes handling security checkpoints, inspecting bags, patrolling, and responding to emergencies, with opportunities for advancement to leadership positions during shifts.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification or able to obtain them.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills.
• Must have a valid driverA license.
• Ability to maintain calm and order in high-pressure situations.
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work with large crowds in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to stand and walk for entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide guests and team members with a safe and secure environment.
• Practice safe work habits, including use of PPE.
• Work security checkpoints and complete general security tasks.
• Inspect bags to prevent contraband.
• Monitor vehicles and employees entering/exiting the park.
• Check IDs and control traffic.
• Complete security lockdowns after operating hours.
• Perform routine foot and vehicle patrols.
• Respond and provide aid for emergencies.
• Maintain order in large crowds and manage traffic.
• Testify in court when necessary.
• Serve as Park Dispatcher, Communications Center, and Emergency Operations Center Officer.
• Work as Security Lead Officer or Officer in Charge (OIC) in absence of on-site supervisor.

• Testify in court when necessary
• Serve as the Park Dispatcher, Communications Center, and Emergency Operations Center Officer
• Work as Security Lead Officer or Officer in Charge (OIC) in the absence of an on-site supervisor

What It Takes To Succeed

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• American Red Cross CPR/AED and First Aid certification or able to obtain them
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal and multi-tasking skills
• Must have a valid driver’s license
