Job summary

Heal The Earth is seeking a driven Corporate Sales Representative to actively sell corporate sponsorships and build new business relationships. This hands-on role focuses on prospecting, cold calling, meetings, presentations, follow-ups, negotiations, and closing sales, with a strong emphasis on developing partnerships that support Heal The Earth’s programs and community initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Five+ years of corporate/sponsorship sales or B2B sales experience.
  • Ability to prospect, develop leads, present, overcome objections and close.
  • Experience selling to businesses and executives; comfortable cold-calling.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and contact prospective corporate sponsors in San Diego County and beyond.
  • Generate leads via cold calls, emails, referrals, networking events, social media, and in-person outreach.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with decision-makers and CSR professionals.
  • Present and sell sponsorship opportunities tied to Heal The Earth's programs and events.
  • Develop sponsorship proposals aligned with company goals and budget.
  • Follow up to move opportunities through the sales process; negotiate terms and close.
  • Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets.
  • Maintain an active pipeline and record activities in CRM.

Corporate Sales Representative for Heal The Earth

Heal The Earth is seeking an energetic and results driven Corporate Sales Representative to actively sell corporate sponsorships and develop new business relationships.

This is a hands-on sales position focused on prospecting, cold calling, scheduling meetings, making presentations, following up with prospective sponsors, negotiating agreements, and closing sales.

The ideal candidate has proven experience in corporate sales, sponsorship sales, business-to-business sales, or nonprofit sponsorship development. This individual must be comfortable initiating contact with new prospects and asking businesses to financially support Heal The Earth’s programs, events, and community initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Actively identify and contact prospective corporate sponsors throughout San Diego County and beyond.
  • Generate new sales leads through cold calls, emails, referrals, networking events, social media, and in-person outreach.
  • Schedule and conduct meetings with corporate decision-makers, business owners, community-relations representatives, and corporate social responsibility professionals.
  • Present and sell sponsorship opportunities connected to Heal The Earth’s programs, events, workforce initiatives, educational activities, and community projects.
  • Clearly communicate Heal The Earth’s mission, programs, community impact, and value to prospective sponsors.
  • Develop customized sponsorship proposals based on each company’s goals, budget, customers, employees, and community priorities.
  • Consistently follow up with prospects and move qualified opportunities through the sales process.
  • Negotiate sponsorship terms and close financial and in-kind sponsorship agreements.
  • Meet or exceed established weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals.
  • Maintain an active pipeline of corporate prospects and sponsorship opportunities.
  • Record calls, meetings, follow-up activities, proposals, and sales results in the organization’s customer relationship management system.
  • Attend business mixers, conferences, community events, and networking meetings to generate leads.
  • Develop referral relationships with chambers of commerce, business associations, community organizations, and current supporters.
  • Identify opportunities for multi-year sponsorships, event sponsorships, employee-engagement programs, product donations, and cause-marketing partnerships.
  • Assist with sponsor renewals and identify opportunities to increase existing sponsorship commitments.
  • Coordinate with Heal The Earth’s leadership and program staff to ensure that sponsorship benefits are accurately communicated and delivered.
  • Provide regular updates on sales activity, prospects, proposals, expected revenue, and closed sponsorships.
Required Qualifications
  • At least five years of su ccessful experience in corporate sales, sponsorship sales, business-to-business sales, business development, or a related sales position.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, develop leads, make sales presentations, overcome objections, and close agreements.
  • Experience selling to businesses, corporations, executives, or other organizational decision-makers.
  • Comfortable making cold calls and initiating conversations with prospective sponsors.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, presentation, and closing skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, persistent, organized, and comfortable working toward measurable sales goals.
  • Ability to work independently and maintain consistent follow-up with multiple prospects.
  • Ability to travel locally for meetings, networking events, presentations, and community activities.
  • Willingness to occasionally attend evening and weekend events.
  • Genuine commitment to Heal The Earth’s mission and community impact.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Established relationships within the San Diego County corporate and business
  • community.
  • Experience selling nonprofit, event, community-program, sustainability, agriculture, food-system, or workforce-development sponsorships.
  • Knowledge of corporate social responsibility and corporate community-investment programs.
  • Experience securing both financial and in-kind sponsorships.
  • Experience developing cause-marketing or employee-engagement partnerships.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
