Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Development Manager to lead the development and implementation of comprehensive fundraising strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fundraising, capital campaigns, and stakeholder engagement.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with leadership and other departments to drive fundraising efforts for all of our various programs. You will work to build meaningful relationships with stakeholders and partners, ensuring the alignment of funding efforts with the organization's mission and long-term goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Fundraising Strategy: Collaborate with senior leadership to create and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies that support Heal The Earth’s mission, goals, and objectives.
  • Stakeholder Cultivation & Stewardship: Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with current and potential stakeholders, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and community organizations. Engage stakeholders with personalized communications and create tailored giving opportunities.
  • Campaign Management: Lead and execute a range of fundraising campaigns, including online giving, peer‑to‑peer fundraising, direct mail, and corporate partnerships.
  • Grant Writing & Reporting: Collaborate with our grant writing team to maintain a focused and effective grants calendar.
  • Event Planning & Execution: Work with our events team to support their efforts to organize fundraising/friend‑raising events, such as virtual campaigns, community outreach initiatives, or high‑level stakeholders galas, that align with the mission and vision of Heal The Earth.
  • Stakeholder Communications: Work with our Marketing team to develop engaging content for stakeholders newsletters, email campaigns, and social media, providing updates on projects and the impact of their contributions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Team: Partner with the Marketing Team to ensure consistent messaging across all social media platforms.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Manage stakeholders records, track donations, and provide regular progress reports on fundraising activities. Utilize CRM software to maintain and analyze stakeholders data for strategic engagement and stewardship.
  • Corporate Partnerships: Identify and develop new partnerships with corporations that align with our mission and values. Negotiate sponsorship agreements and support corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives.
  • Community Engagement: Engage local communities, influencers, and volunteers in fundraising efforts. Mobilize networks to increase awareness and support for Heal The Earth's programs.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of fundraising experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector. Experience in environmental or sustainability‑focused organizations is a plus.
  • Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills. Ability to craft compelling messages that resonate with a diverse audience of potential stakeholders.
  • Relationship Building: Proven track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with individual stakeholders, corporate sponsors, and foundation partners.
  • Campaign Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple fundraising campaigns, including digital campaigns, events, and direct outreach.
  • Self‑Starter & Goal‑Oriented: Ability to work independently and meet fundraising targets and deadlines.
  • Team‑Oriented: Collaborative, with a positive attitude and a team‑first mentality.
  • Flexible & Adaptable: Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, ever‑evolving nonprofit environment with the flexibility to take on various roles and responsibilities as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in fundraising and capital campaigns.
  • Familiarity with fundraising software and CRM systems.
  • Competitive salary of $70,000 to $90,000 (depending on experience)
