Job summary

Green Bay Packaging is seeking a Corporate Quality Manager - Box Plants reporting to the Sr. Director of Quality & Technical Services to lead, maintain, and improve quality processes across box plants.

You will ensure compliance with internal guidelines, customer requirements, and regulatory standards while promoting a quality mindset. The role includes auditing sites, analyzing nonconformances, training divisions, and organizing the annual corporate quality conference.

Qualifications

  • Five years of box plant experience in either a technical or operations role.
  • Bachelor of Science in a technical field is preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality system requirements as well as a working knowledge of product safety requirements.
  • Good communications and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with ISTA, HAZMAT, testing.
  • Knowledge and experience of lab testing principles and equipment.
  • Competency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Power BI or Minitab experience is a plus.
  • Able to work in manufacturing environment and traverse stairs and ladders.
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee corporate customer quality portals and work with corporate customer quality representatives.
  • Participate in service calls for box plant key customers.
  • Work with GBP Corporate CI team to establish quality-focused CI techniques and strategies.
  • Conduct box plant quality audits to improve their quality systems and share best practices.
  • Provide reports on analysis of nonconforming products and quality trends for GBP box plants.
  • Assist divisions in identifying root causes of quality issues and recommending solutions.
  • Identify and provide training opportunities to divisions on quality and product compliance initiatives.
  • Establish quality and specifications standards by studying product and consumer requirements.
  • Perform internal audits for BRCGS certified sites.
  • Provide backup support for Product Safety & Quality Compliance Manager.
  • Lead box plant quality applications (IT programs) improvement from the business perspective.
  • Organize and host the annual corporate quality & technical conference.

Job description

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Quality & Technical Services, the Corporate Quality Manager - Box Plants establishes, maintains, and continually improves the quality and technical processes to ensure the divisions, personnel, methods, and procedures conform to internal guidelines, customer requirements, and regulatory standards. Additionally, this position assists in defining and promoting a quality mindset across the box plants and providing technical support to divisional resources to maintain the company’s competitive position and customer relationships.
