Job summary

Evergreen Residential in Dallas seeks a highly organized Corporate Paralegal to support contract, licensing, entity management and governance across our real estate platform.

You will maintain records, assist with filings, prepare routine documents, and coordinate with the legal team in a fast-paced environment. A paralegal certificate and 3–5 years of corporate experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant corporate paralegal experience.
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and contract law.
  • Experience with licensing, regulation and compliance matters.
  • Experience with multi-state entity management, including Secretary of State filings.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a client-centered approach.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; work independently and with multiple teams.
  • Demonstrates ownership and integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: maintain organized contract records, manage renewals and expirations, prepare signature packets.
  • Compliance and Licensing: track and file state licensing and renewal filings.
  • Form and Document Management: update templates and ensure lease forms stay current.
  • Legal Support and Intake: serve as first point of contact for routine requests and escalate as needed.
  • Administrative tasks: scheduling, invoice tracking, coordination of tasks.
  • Entity Management: assist formation, good standing, org chart, and Secretary of State filings.
  • Research/Legislative Monitoring: track legislation related to SFR and property management.
  • Corporate Governance: maintain minute book and corporate records.
  • Document Preparation: draft routine consents and standard form agreements.
  • Covenant Compliance: summarize high-impact transaction docs.
  • Diligence Assistance: populate data rooms and review documents.
  • Litigation support as needed.

We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive Corporate Paralegal to join our legal and compliance team. This role is instrumental in supporting a wide range of legal and compliance functions, ensuring efficient operations, and promoting legal and regulatory compliance across the organization. The ideal candidate will bring strong contract and entity management skills, excellent organizational abilities, and a collaborative mindset. It is an office-based position based in our Dallas Downtown headquarters.

The Role:
  • Contract Management (e.g., maintain organized records of all contracts, including saving revised and executed versions using established naming conventions, monitor and track automatic renewals, expirations, and notice deadlines, prepare signature packets and coordinate execution of agreements)
  • Compliance and Licensing (e.g., support the tracking and timely filing of state licensing and registration renewals)
  • Form and Document Management (e.g. maintain and update precedent documents and templates, conduct periodic reviews of lease forms to maintain consistency with lease and operational updates)
  • Legal Support and Intake (e.g., serve as the first point of contact for routine legal requests, providing initial support and escalating matters to the legal team as appropriate)
  • Administrative tasks (e.g., scheduling, legal/compliance invoice tracking/management, assist with legal/compliance task coordination/prioritization)
  • Entity Management (e.g., assist with the formation of new entities, maintaining good standing compliance, maintaining corporate organizational chart, routine governmental filings/applications)
  • Research/Legislative Monitoring (e.g., initial research and tracking of legislation related to SFR, property management, etc.)
  • Corporate Governance (e.g., maintaining minute book and other corporate records)
  • Document Preparation (e.g., create initial drafts of routine documentation such as consents, standard form agreements, etc.)
  • Covenant Compliance (e.g., review and summarize various high impact transaction documentation)
  • Diligence Assistance (e.g., populating data rooms, reviewing documents before being uploaded, etc.)
  • Litigation assistance, as needed
Qualifications and Experience

  • Strong understanding of corporate and contract law
  • Experience with residential real estate a plus
  • Proven experience with licensing, regulation and compliance matters
  • Experience with multi-state entity management, including Secretary of State filings and maintaining corporate databases
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple project simultaneously
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a client-centered approach to all interactions
  • Ability to operate effectively and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment; ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with multiple teams
  • Demonstrates a high-level of ownership and drive; collegial and transparent with a high level of integrity
