Job summary

Grace Lutheran Communities in Wisconsin is seeking a reliable Maintenance Technician to support our senior living campus. This full-time role performs preventative and routine maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and equipment upkeep to keep the residence safe and comfortable.

You will assist with room turnover, grounds care, and logistics, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with a caring team to maintain a home-like environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation to get to and from all of our facilities.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform minor maintenance and repair tasks throughout the facility, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and equipment upkeep.
• Assist with room/apartment turnover, drywall repairs, touchups, appliances, painting, general cleaning, and preparation for new residents.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in common areas, storage rooms, and facility grounds.
• Assist in moving furniture, supplies, and equipment as needed.
• Provide assistance and backup to transportation department as needed when emergencies arise.
• Maintain building grounds, maintenance functions including landscaping projects, bed maintenance, light shrub pruning, and tree care.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies.
• Collaborate with other team members to maintain a positive, home-like environment for residents.
• Follow all safety, infection control, and company policies and procedures.
• Routine maintenance and inspections of facility safety equipment along with documents and records.
• All other assigned duties by Plant Operations Director.
