Job summary

Provincial Senior Living is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our team at our community. The role involves maintaining and repairing grounds, buildings, and equipment to ensure a safe, comfortable living environment for residents.

You will handle routine service requests and contribute to upkeep, including basic plumbing, electrical work, painting, and appliance repairs. We are looking for candidates with at least one year of maintenance experience, the ability to be on call, and good

  • One year of maintenance experience is required.
  • General understanding of plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems and code compliance.
  • Ability to respond to emergencies outside scheduled hours is required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication and good organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and housekeeping duties around the community as assigned.
  • Complete service requests for repair and maintenance of grounds, buildings, and equipment in a timely, cost-efficient manner.
  • Assist with repairs to walls, flooring, furniture, fixtures, basic plumbing and electrical tasks, and painting/refurbishment projects.

Our community is looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team.
Responsibilities
  • Performing maintenance and housekeeping duties in and around the community grounds as assigned.
  • Performs routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, equipment and vehicles in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Routine maintenance duties may include: fixing wall and/or floor coverings; repairing furniture and fixtures; performing basic plumbing work; performing minor electrical repairs; repairing appliances; painting and refurbishing projects, working with heating and air systems, refrigeration systems, carpet and hard surface maintenance and “make ready” rooms as assigned.
Qualifications
  • One-year maintenance experience.
  • Ability to be on call if needed.
  • Has a general understanding of systems including: plumbing, electrical, mechanical and code compliance.
  • Possess a general understanding of OSHA, fire prevention, life and safety regulations.
  • Ability to respond to emergency calls outside of scheduled work hours.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities.
  • Possess written and verbal skills for effective communication.
  • Competent in organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrates good judgment, problem solving and decision‑making skills.
