Job Description: Corporate Maintenance Planner

Summary of Position

The Corporate Maintenance Planner is responsible for coordinating and optimizing maintenance activities across multiple sites within the organization. This role involves implementing preventive maintenance plans, enhancing communication between maintenance and operations, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support new projects by implementing PMs for new equipment and introducing them into the CMMS.
  • Understand maintenance tasks well enough to define the scope of work, estimate labor hours, and identify tools and resources required to complete work orders.
  • Standardize and prepare preventive maintenance plans and schedules that align with maintenance goals across all sites.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between maintenance and operations.
  • Lead communication between maintenance and other internal stakeholders to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality service.
  • Coordinate planned downtimes to reduce mean time between failures and minimize production disruptions.
  • Minimize interruptions once maintenance work has begun.
  • Support sites in establishing job goals and objectives for the maintenance workforce.
  • Assist sites in consolidating spare parts inventories to minimize stock levels.
  • Lead global updates and changes to the CMMS.
  • Provide ongoing CMMS training across all sites.
  • Act as administrator for all CMMS changes across sites.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts for preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with controlled document processes.
  • Maintain all maintenance records across all sites.
  • Generate weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance KPI reports for each site using CMMS data.
  • Create dashboards highlighting equipment maintenance status, including metrics such as MTBF, MTTR, availability, and PM completion.
  • Serve as the Silfab Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) Champion.

Additional Requirements

  • Must be able to travel across the U.S. and Canada up to 20% of the time.

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field—or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of planning experience in a high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing environment.
