The Opportunity:
We’re seeking a commercial generalist attorney to serve as Digital Advertising Counsel on the global advertising legal team at one of the world’s most influential technology companies. This is a full-time secondment opportunity (1–2 years, with an expected minimum commitment of one year) providing front-line legal support to high-performing sales teams and business partners across North America.
This is not your typical commercial or product counsel role. While many legal positions supporting ad sales focus on contract negotiation—or stay purely internal as product advisors—this role bridges both worlds without sitting in either seat. There is no contract drafting involved. Instead, the focus is on real-time counseling, triaging legal and regulatory questions, and supporting advertiser engagement directly.
You’ll be at the forefront of advertiser and sales team interaction—responding directly to business partners while also collaborating closely with product, regulatory, integrity, litigation, and comms teams behind the scenes.
The role centers on triaging and responding to high-volume, time-sensitive inquiries on legal, privacy, and regulatory issues tied to advertising products and practices. The ideal candidate will bring sharp issue-spotting skills, sound judgment, and the interpersonal presence to manage direct, sometimes challenging conversations with both internal and external stakeholders—all while operating at the fast-paced intersection of advertising, privacy, and compliance.

About the Client:
Our client is a global leader in the technology and digital media space, operating some of the most widely used platforms on the planet. Their legal team is known for balancing business enablement with thoughtful risk management in an environment that moves with agility and scale.
In this role, you’ll support the company’s North American advertising sales teams, providing legal guidance on issues at the intersection of advertising, privacy, regulatory compliance, and business policy. You’ll collaborate closely with product legal, integrity legal, litigation, and comms teams to help drive informed decisions across the business.
Commitment: Full-time secondment (1–2 years, minimum of one year)
Location: Remote (open to candidates across the U.S.; West Coast or D.C. area a plus but not required)
Compensation: $180,000–$220,000 (annualized)
Benefits: Healthcare, 401(k) with match, PTO, paid holidays, and bar dues while on assignment
