Job summary

Mercor is seeking a Legal Expert — Transactional / Corporate to join our remote team on an hourly contract basis. The role focuses on due diligence, contract reviews, SPAs, NDA drafting, and securities filings in a fast-paced AI research context.

The successful candidate has 1–4 years of transactional or corporate law experience, a U.S./Canada/UK law degree, and a license to practice in the U.S., Canada, or U.K. Remote, 20–40 hours/week, start immediately.

Qualifications

• 1–4 years of professional experience in transactional or corporate law.
• J.D. (U.S./Canada) or LL.B./LL.M. (U.K.) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed to practice law in the U.S., Canada, or U.K. (active or inactive).
• Strong experience in contract review, due diligence, corporate governance, NDA drafting, or securities filings.
• Excellent written communication skills with high attention to detail.

Position: Legal Expert — Transactional / Corporate (Remote, Hourly)

Compensation: $85–$120/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20–40 hours/week

• Write "golden" reference responses at attorney-level quality.
• Grade AI-generated responses using structured rubrics.
• Provide written feedback to improve model behaviour.
• Participate in onboarding office hours and specialty calibration sessions.

• Familiarity with virtual data rooms like Intralinks or Datasite .
