Mercor is seeking a Corporate Law Expert on a remote basis to support sophisticated M&A and governance matters for clients in the US and international markets.

The role requires 5+ years as a corporate attorney or GC, JD with bar admission, and fluency with corporate-law tooling and deal structuring. Compensation is $90–$100 per hour on a contract basis, with remote work offered globally.

• Build tasks across M&A, deal structuring, securities, capital markets, corporate governance, and restructuring
• Develop legal scenarios using Westlaw, Lexis, Intralinks, and Datasite
• Apply corporate law methodologies to jurisdictional tracks (US: Delaware General Corporation Law, SEC rules; International: UK Companies Act 2006, EU directives)
• Author rubrics distinguishing authentic corporate law judgment from generic recall

• Apply corporate law methodologies to jurisdictional tracks (US: Delaware General Corporation Law, SEC rules; International: UK Companies Act 2006, EU company law directives).
• Author rubrics that distinguish authentic corporate law judgment from generic recall.

Qualifications

Must-Have

• 5+ years as a corporate attorney or general counsel at a major law firm, investment bank, or corporation.
• Direct ownership of M&A transactions, governance matters, or securities filings.
• Fluency in corporate law tooling and methodologies.
• A recognized professional credential (JD with bar admission or international equivalent).

Preferred

• Prior rubric, legal training curriculum, or transaction documentation authorship.
