Job Description – Corporate Inventory Control Manager

Compensation: $90,000 Annually + Bonus

This position is responsible for inventory accuracy company wide. It includes negotiating with shippers for internal movement, processing in-house purchase orders, pick tickets, transfers, warranty and inventory returns, creating and maintaining inventory accuracy, quality assurance, fleet/equipment health, and managing the purchasing department. The role leads and holds accountability for inventory warehouse specialists across the company, working with staff across departments to forecast inventory, warehouse, fleet, and equipment needs for budgetary planning.

KEY RESULTS AREA:

Responsible for inventory accuracy for 2 branches and 16 rolling warehouses, setting and maintaining min/max levels, inventory turnover, purchasing order management, and oversight of the purchasing department. Manage inventory cycle time, negotiate in‑house shipper pricing, and maintain a healthy fleet and equipment inventory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set, track, and maintain accurate inventory for each branch within budgetary levels.
  • Manage inventory through timely purchasing, min/max setting, cycle counts, accuracy, and maximizing warehouse flow.
  • Assess quality and accuracy of received stock, escalating discrepancies to suppliers for warranty or credit processing.
  • Develop and provide monthly reporting for inventory health per branch, reducing dead stock and overstock.
  • Develop, document, and implement inventory control procedures.
  • Track purchase orders and ensure timely transportation of goods.
  • Accurately track and report key functional metrics – ROI analysis.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure clear communication of product specifications, timelines, and expectations.
  • Manage company fleet/equipment maintenance and coordinate necessary repairs.
