Job summary

Winterwood, Inc. is seeking a motivated Lease Cancellations Corporate Intern to join our Accounting team in Lexington, KY. This hands-on role offers exposure to day-to-day accounting tasks, data entry, and analysis while supporting the Lease Cancellations Specialist.

Part-time, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM schedule with a $17.00 hourly rate. You will gain real-world experience in a collaborative environment, learn our processes, and contribute to accurate account statements, refunds, and compliance with

Responsibilities

• Assist with day-to-day accounting operations and administrative tasks.
• Support projects through research, data entry, and analysis.
• Assist with leasing and rents duties related to statements, balances and refunds.
• Maintain accounts current with required guidelines.
• Verify final account statements have required documentation.
• Track, label, redact and log all checks.
• Assist in implementing new lease cancellation processes.
• Learn and use company tools, systems, and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Winterwood, Inc. is seeking a motivated Lease Cancellations Corporate Intern to join our Accounting team. This is a hands-on opportunity to gain real-world experience working closely with accounting professionals in a collaborative and supportive environment.

Job Type: Temporary

Schedule: Part-Time | Flexible, within Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

Hourly Rate: $17.00 per hour

What You’ll Do

• Assist with day-to-day operations and administrative tasks in the accounting department.
• Support team projects through research, data entry, and analysis. This position is heavily focused on supporting the Lease Cancellations Specialist with move out packets and transfers.
• Assist with leasing and rents duties relating to accounts statement, balances and refunds.
• Assists with keeping accounts current with NCS following the states necessary guidelines.
• Verifies all Final Account Statement have required documentation and submits to Lease Cancellations Specialist for final approval.
• Responsible for tracking, labeling, redacting and logging all checks in the drive.
• Assist in new implementation of processes regarding Lease Cancellations.
• Strong attention to detail when dealing tenants, move out packets, balances and refunds.
• Learn and use company tools, systems and processes.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
