Jobot is seeking a Corporate Financial Controller in San Jose, CA, to lead the company’s financial operations and reporting. This on-site, permanent role requires a strategic financial leader who can drive efficiency, governance, and scalability within a multi-billion-dollar organization.

Ideal candidates will have a strong background in construction accounting, ERP optimization, and staff leadership, with an emphasis on accurate, timely reporting and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum of 5+ years in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in construction.
  • Experience in financial reporting, accounting team leadership, ERP optimization, and audit/tax oversight.
  • Strong knowledge of construction accounting including percentage of completion.
  • Proven leadership and ability to motivate a team; excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all financial aspects including planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  • Lead the accounting team and foster a collaborative environment.
  • Optimize ERP and financial systems for accurate reporting.

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Corporate Financial Controller to join our team in the construction industry. This is a permanent role that will oversee the company's financial and accounting operations, providing strategic guidance, leadership, and coordination in business planning and financial performance. The ideal candidate is a motivated individual who is excited to drive financial efficiency and accuracy, ensuring the overall financial health of the company.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee and manage all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management.
  2. Lead and manage the accounting team, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
  3. Optimize and oversee the company’s financial systems and ERP, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  4. Develop and implement process improvements and transformations to enhance financial accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  5. Prepare and present consolidated financial statements, ensuring they comply with all legal requirements and accounting standards.
  6. Provide oversight for audit and tax activities, liaising with external auditors and tax advisors.
  7. Provide strategic financial leadership, assisting in the formulation of the company's future direction and supporting tactical initiatives.
  8. Monitor and direct the implementation of strategic business plans and financial strategies.
  9. Develop performance measures that support the company's strategic direction.
  10. Understand and mitigate key elements of the company's risk profile and ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
  11. Report financial results to the board of directors.
Qualifications
  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master’s degree or CPA is highly desirable.
  2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a senior financial managerial position, preferably in the construction industry.
  3. Proven experience in financial reporting, accounting team leadership, financial systems & ERP optimization, process improvement & transformation, consolidated financial statements, audit & tax oversight, and strategic financial leadership.
  4. Strong understanding of construction accounting, including percentage of completion accounting.
  5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  6. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information in a clear and concise manner.
  7. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  8. Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly advanced in Excel.
  9. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations, as well as understanding of construction industry trends and challenges.
  10. High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
