Job summary

Bridgewater Associates is seeking a Finance Associate in Accounting to join the Corporate Accounting team. The role develops a broad skill set across close processes, reporting, and controls, with a focus on leveraging AI tools to enhance accuracy and efficiency.

The position requires collaboration with internal stakeholders and external auditors, and involves ensuring strong financial controls and analytic rigor in a fast-paced environment at our Westport campus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting with a strong academic record.
• 1–3 years of accounting or audit experience; Big 4 background a plus.
• CPA, or actively pursuing certification.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Experience with AI tooling and ability to review AI outputs for accuracy.
• Experience with financial systems such as Workday, Office Connect and Workiva.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close deliverables for the Corporate Accounting team.
• Prepare financial information for internal stakeholders.
• Interact with external auditors and other Bridgewater teams during the audit.
• Execute accounting processes over various balance sheet accounts.
• Assist with ad hoc requests as needed.
• Evaluate and implement process improvements and automation.
