Bridgewater Associates seeks a Finance Associate, Accounting to join its Corporate Accounting team. The role focuses on supporting monthly close, preparing internal financial information, and coordinating with external auditors across Bridgewater’s operations.

You will advance accounting processes, leverage AI tools for accuracy, and collaborate with stakeholders to strengthen controls and deliver timely insights for decision makers. Westport, CT onsite four days a week.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting with a strong academic track record.
• 1–3 years of accounting or audit experience; Big 4 background a strong plus.
• CPA, or actively working toward the certification.
• Advanced Excel skills; experience with AI tooling to review AI output for accuracy.
• Experience with Workday, Office Connect, and Workiva.

Responsibilities

• Support the Corporate Accounting team with fulfilling monthly close deliverables.
• Prepare financial information for internal stakeholders.
• Manage various aspects of the financial audit, interfacing with external auditors and other Bridgewater teams.
• Execute accounting processes over various balance sheet accounts.
• Support ad hoc requests as necessary.
• Proactively explore process changes and technology to streamline operations and strengthen controls.
• Build the case for changes and drive implementation with stakeholders across Finance and Technology.
