Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Technician 1 to support conference/event planning and complex facilities tasks in our Burlington, NJ location. This entry-level role emphasizes customer service and basic maintenance to keep offices and spaces functional.

The role requires reading and following detailed instructions, basic computer use, and the ability to move furniture and assist with upkeep tasks. A valid driver's license is required for local travel and event support.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a computer and mobile device for event calendars, Work orders, emails, and communication.

Responsibilities

Job description

Position Overview

The position of Facilities Technician 1 will utilize a set of entry level mechanical and communication skills to complete tasks on a non-exempt, full-time basis. The position will report as directed to a Corporate Facilities Manager and will perform the required tasks on a daily and as needed basis and with an emphasis on customer service. The primary function of this role is to support the operational needs of conference and event planning, HR programs, associate and furniture move, as well as building and property safety and aesthetics.

A Day In The Life

• Corporate Facilities Technician 1 is the primary provider of conference and special event preparation and set-up/take down as well as the delivery and upkeep of furniture used for those events.
• This position will provide furniture and associate relocation services.
• This position will perform emergency tasks as required.
• This position will contribute to the daily upkeep of corporate buildings and grounds including but not limited to physical assets such as office furniture, golf carts and company trucks/vans and other duties as assigned.
• This position will assist with sample merchandise disposition and transportation.

You’ll Come With

• Demonstrated ability to carry out detailed, written, multi-step instructions. Exhibits a basic understanding of simple maintenance tasks. Can read and write in the English language.
• Ability to operate a computer and mobile device to develop and maintain event calendars, Work order (Service Channel) as well as send, receive, and respond to emails in a timely and professional manner.
• Ability to move furniture and assist with maintenance tasks including snow removal and janitorial tasks.
• Ability to work as part of a team when required.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to communicate via telephone and text messaging systems.
• Must be able to Lift 50 lbs repeatedly.
• Must be capable of sending/receiving/reading/responding to emails.
• Travel requirements: Minimal – Local, between area sites.
• Ability to safely climb a ladder up to 30’ and be willing and able to work from high equipment such as scaffolding, mechanical lifts, ladders and roofs at a height of up to 5 stories.
