The Global Edge Consultants is seeking a Corporate Expediting Manager to lead enterprise expediting standards across global units. Hybrid role with a focus on supplier performance, risk mitigation, and project schedule outcomes.

You will drive delivery with analytics, coordinate cross-functional teams, and provide executive advisory on delivery risks and strategic interventions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Direct corporate-wide expediting practices, governance models across multiple BUs.

• Identify schedule threats and implement mitigation strategies before impact.
• Leverage performance metrics and data analytics to drive decisions.
• Coordinate procurement, supplier quality, logistics, project controls, and engineering.
• Mentor Project Expeditors and analytics staff.

Job Title: Corporate Expediting Manager

Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Part-Time Telework (Office & Project)

Location: Houston, TX or Reston, VA

Client Sector: Global EPC / Engineering, Procurement & Construction (Infrastructure, Nuclear, Energy, Mining & Metals)

Role Overview

Provides corporate functional leadership across global business units (GBUs) to drive supplier performance, improve delivery predictability, and secure project schedule outcomes. Establishes enterprise expediting standards, risk mitigation workflows, and supplier recovery strategies across global mega-projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Enterprise Leadership: Direct corporate-wide expediting practices, operating standards, and governance models across multiple business units.
• Supplier Performance & Accountability: Influence supplier execution, hold vendors accountable to critical-path delivery milestones, and lead recovery execution plans.
• Delivery Risk Management: Proactively identify schedule threats and delivery trends to execute mitigation strategies prior to schedule impact.
• Data-Driven Operations: Leverage supplier performance metrics, workload forecasts, and data analytics to drive actionable business decisions.
• Cross-Functional Integration: Coordinate alignment between procurement, supplier quality, logistics, project controls, and engineering teams.
• Resource & Capability Planning: Align staffing, technical training, and team competency development with project pipelines and vendor risk profiles.
• Executive Advisory: Communicate delivery risks, critical interventions, and strategic recommendations directly to corporate and business unit leadership.
• Commercial Leverage: Apply deep understanding of purchase order terms, commercial commitments, and contractual leverage to maintain delivery schedules.

Key Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Total Experience: 15–18+ years of relevant industry experience in expediting, supply chain management, or procurement leadership within large-scale EPC / Pre-FEED / FEED environments.
• Sector Background: Deep commodity and equipment expediting experience across Energy, Infrastructure, Mining & Metals, Nuclear, or Manufacturing & Technology projects.
• Project Scope: Proven background managing high-complexity projects, including full-scope workload/budget estimations, unique engineered equipment systems, and formal corrective action plans.
• Technical & Analytic Toolset:
  • Power BI dashboard reporting
  • SQL, Minitab, or SAS data analysis
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Certifications (Preferred): Lean Six Sigma (ASQ, IASSC, GAQM, or corporate equivalent).
• Leadership Scope: Direct experience mentoring and supervising Project Expeditors (PEX), Area Expeditors (AEX), business analytics teams, and operational support staff.
