Island is seeking an organized Corporate Events Intern to support our events team in planning and executing internal and external events, including conferences, trade shows, and webinars. You’ll work closely with marketing, sales, and leadership to gain hands-on experience across the event lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree and/or graduate studies in Hospitality, Event Management, Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and attention to detail.
• Clear written and verbal communication; comfortable working with vendors, colleagues, and guests.

Responsabilités

• Support planning and logistics for corporate events, including venue research, vendor coordination, catering, AV, and travel arrangements.
• Build and maintain event timelines, run-of-show documents, budgets, and checklists to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
• Manage attendee registration, RSVPs, guest lists, and event communications such as invitations, reminders, and follow-up emails.
• Coordinate event materials and swag, including ordering, shipping, inventory tracking, and on-site setup.
• Help on-site at events with check-in, setup and teardown, guest support, and problem-solving in real time.
• Assist with virtual and hybrid events by setting up platforms, testing tech, and supporting speakers and attendees.
• Collect post-event data, including attendance, survey feedback, and lead lists, and help prepare recap reports.
• Research upcoming industry conferences and trade shows and recommend sponsorship or attendance opportunities.
