Corporate Environment Health Safety Manager

Position Summary

The Corporate EHS Manager is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the safety and security of employees across all LiDestri facilities (NY & CA). The role involves anticipating, identifying, and correcting safety and security issues, and working with all organizational levels to implement preventative procedures.

Responsibilities

1. Develop and coordinate safety policies and programs to prevent accidents and improve safety performance.
2. Conduct hazard risk assessments and implement incident prevention systems.
3. Analyze incident data to identify root causes and trends; utilize safety technology tools.
4. Manage safety metrics and KPIs.
5. Coordinate Workers Compensation programs with HR.
6. Oversee accident report compilation and OSHA report submissions.
7. Set safety program goals based on safety statistics, incidents, and near-misses.
8. Ensure safety and environmental policies comply with regulations and promote proactive safety culture.
9. Collaborate cross-functionally to foster a consistent safety culture.
10. Develop and oversee safety training programs, ensuring compliance and documentation.
11. Manage EHS teams in NY and CA.
12. Ensure successful completion of audits by regulatory agencies, customers, and internal teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety or related field, or 10 years’ supervisory/safety experience in manufacturing (food processing preferred).
• Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to effectively communicate with all employee levels.
• Ability to interpret technical safety information, conduct inspections, and ensure compliance.
• OSHA 501 Certification preferred.
