Job summary

Conexus, Irvine-based, is seeking a Manager of Corporate Development/M&A to join a growing deal-focused team. The role offers exposure to the CFO and C-suite, a robust deal pipeline, and mentorship within a public company environment.

Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in corporate development or M&A, strong valuation and modeling skills, and a track record across deal lifecycles. Base salary ranges from $180k to $230k with a 10% annual bonus and RSU eligibility.

Qualifications

• 3-7 years of corporate development or M&A experience.
• Strong valuation and financial-modeling capabilities.
• Experience supporting transactions across multiple stages of the deal lifecycle.
• Excellent communication skills and executive presence.
• Investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, or strategy experience is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field; MBA preferred.

Job description

I'm partnering with a large, $1B public company based in Irvine, CA. to hire a Manager of Corporate Development/M&A.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing corporate development team with an active deal pipeline, strong mentorship, and direct exposure to the CFO and broader C-suite.

The role will support the full M&A lifecycle, including:

• Developing and evaluating the acquisition pipeline
• Building valuation, DCF, merger, LBO, and accretion/dilution models
• Leading cross-functional due diligence workstreams
• Assessing strategic fit, risks, synergies, and value-creation opportunities
• Preparing transaction materials for senior leadership and the Board
• Supporting deal negotiations, integration planning, and strategic initiatives

The team expects to complete 1-2 buy-side transactions annually, with an average deal size of approximately $125M-$250M. The position will initially be an individual-contributor role, with the potential to add an analyst-level direct report as the team grows.
