Director of M&A/ Corporate Development
Position Overview

The Director of Corporate Development will lead and support the company’s inorganic growth strategy through mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, and other corporate development initiatives. Reporting to executive leadership, this role will partner closely with operations, finance, legal, and business unit leaders to identify, evaluate, execute, and integrate strategic transactions aligned with enterprise growth priorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, evaluate, and source acquisition targets aligned with strategic priorities across industrial services and related sectors.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with company owners, investment bankers, intermediaries, private equity sponsors, and industry advisors.
  • Lead transaction execution from initial assessment through closing, including valuation analysis, diligence coordination, negotiations, and execution management.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models including DCFs, comparable company analyses, precedent transaction analyses, accretion/dilution models, and sensitivity analyses.
  • Prepare investment memoranda, strategic rationale documents, and executive/board presentation materials.
  • Coordinate financial, legal, operational, tax, accounting, environmental, insurance, and commercial due diligence workstreams.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to negotiate LOIs, purchase agreements, financing documents, and other transaction materials.
  • Support post-close integration planning, synergy tracking, and strategic execution initiatives.
  • Monitor industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive activity to identify strategic opportunities and risks.
  • Maintain transaction pipelines, reporting dashboards, and executive updates regarding acquisition activity.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or related field required; MBA and/or CFA preferred.
  • 7–12+ years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, transaction advisory, strategic finance, or related fields.
  • Experience executing middle‑market M&A transactions within industrial services, manufacturing, infrastructure, engineering, facilities services, or related industries preferred.
  • Strong financial modeling, valuation, analytical, and presentation skills with advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously in fast‑paced environments.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills with the ability to engage senior executives and external counterparties.
  • Strong project management capabilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work cross‑functionally across operations, finance, legal, accounting, and executive leadership teams.
  • Commercially minded with strong strategic and analytical judgment.
  • Entrepreneurial, proactive, and execution‑oriented.
  • Comfortable operating in lean, high‑accountability environments.
  • Strong relationship builder with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to independently drive initiatives forward.

20%-50% Travel will be required

Compensation: $220,000 - $250,000 salary plus 25% bonus and equity TBD
