As a member of the Finance Team, the Corporate Development Associate plays a key role in the continued success of our company's Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A), capital raising, and investor relations (IR) efforts. Additionally, they will assist with Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) responsibilities.

Position Responsibilities

  • Performs qualitative and quantitative analysis of potential acquisitions, financings, and research potential M&A targets.
  • Performs pro forma financial analysis, budgeting/forecasting, business valuations, and assists in the preparation of financial models and other materials to be used in presentations and as support for financing and M&A transactions.
  • Analyzes industry trends and provide insights to management and private equity sponsors.
  • Assists in due diligence processes by working closely with sellers and third parties (e.g., tax, legal, accounting).
  • Supports preparation of internal monthly business updates, including KPI dashboards, board materials, and variance analyses.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of forecasting, budgeting, and strategic planning models to guide company-wide decision-making.
  • Supports preparation of presentations and analysis for Board of Directors, banks, auditors, and private equity sponsors.
  • Communicates regularly with M&A, FP&A, and integration teams to ensure alignment between internal planning and transaction activity.
  • Works with business and operational stakeholders to assess drivers of financial performance and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Drives insights through data analytics by partnering with business units and leveraging tools such as Excel and BI platforms.
  • Supports the identification, valuation, planning, and execution of internal and external business development opportunities and acquisitions.
  • Gathers and evaluates data, including financial and operational information, developing projections and valuation analyses.

Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, with preference given to a specialized degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics; At least 2 years of relevant business experience, with preference given to roles in M&A, investment banking, corporate finance, or FP&A.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements, forecasting, budgeting, and financial modeling.
  • Ability to perform advanced financial modeling, acquisitions analyses, and business valuation skills. Adept at building, maintaining, and improving financial models and dashboards.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of primary valuation methodologies and return metrics.
  • High proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; experience with BI tools and financial systems (e.g., Adaptive, Anaplan, Tableau, Power BI, Datarails) a plus
  • Able to analyze large data sets and distill insights to support decision-making.
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Clear and concise communicator, both written and verbal.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly across departments and senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate across departments and with senior leaders.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, highly collaborative, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments while working independently to drive results.
