Job description

Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Corporate Cybersecurity Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in information security, cyber threat intelligence, and risk management. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in implementing comprehensive security measures to protect our organization’s digital assets against an evolving array of cyber threats. The Cyber Security Manager will report directly to the VP of Corporate Cybersecurity.

Location

This role is onsite in San Jose, CA.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and Implement Security Policies: Design and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards to safeguard digital information.
  2. Governance, Risk & Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant laws, regulations, and standards such as PCI, GDPR, ISO27001, SOC2, and NIST. Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation strategies.
  3. Security Operations: Oversee 24/7 Security Operations Center (SOC) to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in real-time.
  4. Incident Response: Lead incident response efforts to address security incidents effectively and promptly.
  5. Security Analytics and Reporting: Implement security analytics leveraging AI/ML and big data; prepare detailed reports for senior management.
  6. Vulnerability Management: Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat hunts, and penetration tests to identify and mitigate threats.
  7. Cloud Security: Implement security measures for cloud environments.
  8. Network Security: Apply network security measures, including zero trust architecture and regular assessments.
  9. Identity & Access Controls: Enforce controls to restrict access to sensitive information.
  10. Data Protection: Develop and manage data protection programs.
  11. Application Security: Ensure secure development practices, testing, and vulnerability assessments.
  12. Security Awareness Training: Develop employee training programs on security best practices.
  13. Vendor Management: Manage external security vendors and conduct evaluations and audits.
  14. Collaboration: Work with other departments to integrate security into organizational processes.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, IT, Computer Science, or related; certifications such as CISSP, CISM preferred.
  • Experience: 5-7 years in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with security tools (SIEM/XDR, EDR), scripting (Python), and networking.
  • Analytical Skills & Attention to Detail: Strong problem-solving and meticulousness.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to communicate security concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Proven team management abilities.
