Job summary

Auto-Owners Insurance seeks motivated students for a Business and Quality Analyst Intern role within our Corporate Customer Focus Team. You will act as a liaison between business and technology, helping define requirements and supporting testing efforts.

You’ll collaborate with business experts to gather, validate, and document requirements, participate in workshops, and assist with training and implementation activities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled college student entering junior or senior year.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
• Analytical skills to learn business processes.
• Ability to use a PC and applicable business software.
• Competency to learn new software tools.
• Organize and interpret data.
• Ability to handle multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between the business and technology teams
• Organize and lead meetings with business, technology, and quality assurance teams
• Work closely with business SMEs in definition, training, implementation, and support of business requirements
• Define requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, and existing system documentation or procedures
• Develop business requirements and related business rules based on business decisions
• Work with software tools to gather and document requirements and rules
• Perform high level testing in coordination with QA teams including writing test plans and documenting/testing results

• Define requirements through interviews, workshops, surveys, and existing system documentation or procedures
• Develop business requirements and related business rules based on business decision(s)
• Work with software tools to gather and document requirements and rules
• Perform high level testing in coordination with the detailed testing by quality assurance teams including writing test plans as well as documenting and reporting results

Qualifications

• Students should be currently enrolled and entering their junior or senior year in college
• Above-average communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to learn business processes
• Ability to utilize a PC and applicable business software
• Competency to learn new software tools

Rate of Pay:

Rate of pay starts at $18.00 per hour.
