Job summary

Palmetto Clean Technology in Charlotte, NC seeks a Corporate Counsel to own case strategy, manage outside counsel, and drive favorable outcomes for the business.

You will handle the company’s litigation portfolio, regulatory investigations, discovery, and internal investigations while advising internal stakeholders on risk and escalation.

The role requires a J.D., bar admission, and 5+ years of litigation experience, preferably with complex commercial matters in a fast-growing environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation experience in law firm and/or in-house roles.
• JD from an accredited law school and bar admission in at least one US state.
• Experience managing complex commercial or regulatory litigation preferred.
• Familiarity with e-discovery processes and litigation management software.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the company’s litigation portfolio from inception to resolution.
• Manage outside counsel, engagement terms, budgets and performance against objectives.
• Coordinate discovery/e-discovery, document preservation, and production.
• Advise internal stakeholders on litigation risk, holds, and escalation paths.
• Develop and implement litigation strategy and training on risk mitigation.
