Overview

CAB Enterprises, Inc ('CAB Enterprises, or the 'Company') is the exclusive sales and customer service Company representing the Electrolit brand in the United States. The primary objective of the Company is to lead the growth of Electrolit sales in the United States.

Position Summary

The role of Corporate Counsel at Electrolit entails providing detailed legal counsel on complex matters. Responsibilities include offering legal advice to various departments, managing contracts, ensuring compliance with regulations, overseeing intellectual property matters, and developing policies to minimize risks.

Location

Houston TX (on-site)

Principal Duties
  • Provide legal advice and support to various departments
  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations
  • Manage intellectual property, including trademarks and copyrights
  • Work with external legal counseling to handle litigation, disputes, and regulatory matters
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to mitigate legal risks
  • Keep record of all legal documents and proceeding for the company
  • Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary
  • Monitor changes in legislation and advise the company on necessary adjustments
  • Ensure all company practices adhere to industry standards and legal requirements

  • Ability to spot risk and liability issues for the Company

Qualifications
  • JD degree from an accredited law school
  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction
  • 5 years of legal experience, preferably in a related industry
  • Legal drafting experience
  • Crisis management experience
  • Knowledge of current legislation practicesExperienced in national, state, and local laws to support Electrolit USA
  • Strong knowledge of corporate law, contracts, and regulatory compliance and legal defense strategies
Other Requirements
  • Able and willing to travel
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish, strongly preferred
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the USA
