Job summary

Jack Henry & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Corporate Counsel II to join our legal team as a trusted partner to cross-functional groups.

You will navigate data, technology, information security, privacy, cybersecurity, and AI matters while advising Product, Technology, Data, and Risk teams to support business goals and manage risk. This hybrid role requires at least 1 day weekly in Overland Park, Kansas, with potential days in Allen, TX, Monett MO, or Springfield MO.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor or Master of Laws degree.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a law firm or in-house.
• Experience in AI, Cybersecurity, Data Governance, Data Privacy, and Incident Management.
• Strong experience in Legal Writing and drafting.
• Ability to travel up to 10% for meetings, events, and or training.

Responsibilities

• Addresses legal issues that arise in day-to-day operations with guidance from experienced attorneys.
• Develops knowledge in legal writing, research, contract interpretation, negotiation, advocacy, and client communication.
• Starts to develop specialization in specific areas of the law.
• Develops a general understanding of the business operations of the Company.
• Handles routine legal matters with little instruction, including research and reviewing documents.
• Interprets laws and regulations and determines a course of action.
