Job summary

DraftKings Inc. is recruiting a Corporate Counsel, General Litigation to shape how we handle disputes, manage risk, and provide practical legal guidance across the business. This role centers on collaboration with teams to protect the company while enabling growth.

You will assess lawsuits and threats, draft filings with outside counsel, negotiate disputes, and guide strategy from assessment through resolution. In-house Massachusetts bar eligibility is valuable.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of relevant litigation experience in law firms; in-house a plus.
• JD from ABA-accredited school; Massachusetts Bar eligibility.
• Strong business-minded approach to evaluating issues and risk.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with partners.

Responsibilities

• Assess lawsuits, demand letters, and threats; develop response strategies.
• Draft and review court filings with outside counsel through resolution.
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to resolve disputes when appropriate.
• Partner with teams to identify litigation risks and mitigation plans.
• Represent the company in small claims court as needed.
• Investigate regulators/Attorney General inquiries related to customer complaints.
• Provide timely legal guidance on emerging business issues.
