Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Corporate Counsel to support Alexa, Amazon's AI-powered voice assistant used by millions of customers worldwide. You will partner with product, engineering, privacy, and business teams to launch features and advise on emerging technologies while balancing innovation with customer trust.

As Corporate Counsel, you will help develop scalable legal frameworks, navigate IP and privacy matters, and counsel teams through the product lifecycle from concept to launch

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal experience in corporate technology or consumer products.
• Experience with product, engineering, privacy, or business teams.
• Experience advising on AI/ML or voice technology is a plus.
• Background in privacy and data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA).

Responsibilities

• Lead product counsel on strategic initiatives, product launches, and commercial matters for Alexa.
• Advise on legal considerations and risks related to AI-powered products, voice tech, devices, and digital services.
• Structure, draft, negotiate, and advise on technology, licensing, distribution, marketing, and commercial agreements.
• Provide guidance on IP, privacy, consumer protection, digital media, and regulatory matters.
• Counsel teams through the product lifecycle, from concept and development through launch and post-launch operations, including pre-litigation disputes.
• Develop creative, business-oriented solutions and strategies to mitigate legal risk while supporting innovation and growth.
• Support the development of scalable legal frameworks and processes that enable rapid product development while maintaining customer trust and minimizing risk.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, product management, privacy, public policy, and business development.
