The role focuses on contract review and drafting, compliance, and governance, with opportunities to collaborate across functions and with outside counsel. Candidates should have a JD from an accredited US law school, be eligible for New Jersey admission, and possess strong negotiation and drafting skills as well as clear communication.

Qualifications

• Admission to the New Jersey Bar or eligibility to be admitted as NJ in-house counsel.
• 2-5 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in corporate law, commercial contracts, or related fields.
• Strong negotiation and drafting skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Maritime industry experience is preferred but not required.

• Conduct compliance training sessions for employees across different departments.

• Stay informed about changes in relevant laws and regulations impacting the company’s operations.

Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and proactive Corporate Counsel to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of legal experience, with a strong interest in the maritime industry (experience preferred but not required). The Corporate Counsel will provide legal support across various business functions, focusing on contract review, compliance, and governance matters.
