Job summary

CFS, a growing infrastructure services company, seeks a Corporate Controller in Lakewood, CO. The role leads accounting operations, month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls, partnering with executives to drive growth and efficiency.

You will manage project accounting, work with operations teams, and contribute to ERP initiatives while ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience including Controller or senior leadership roles.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, engineering, or project-based environments preferred.
• Strong understanding of WIP, job costing, percentage-of-completion accounting, and project financial reporting.
• Experience managing and developing an accounting team.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Oversee balance sheets, income statements, cash flow, and reconciliations.
• Oversee WIP schedules, project accounting, job costing, change orders, and project performance reporting.
• Partner with operations to understand financial performance and identify improvements.
• Develop and lead accounting team; provide training and accountability.
• Oversee AP, AR, payroll, GL, and other core functions; maintain internal controls.
