Step into a dynamic leadership role with our client as a Corporate Controller (Hybrid) in Panama City, FL. This position is perfect for an experienced accounting professional ready to oversee corporate accounting functions, financial reporting, and compliance while leading a dedicated team. Leverage your expertise in financial strategy, process optimization, and internal controls to drive the organization’s financial success.

Compensation: $120,000 - $140,000/year + bonus

Schedule: Monday to Friday (Hybrid)

Responsibilities as the Corporate Controller:

Financial Oversight: Manage corporate accounting functions, including general ledger, month-end/year-end closing, and financial reporting.
Team Leadership: Mentor and develop accounting professionals, fostering a culture of high performance.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
Internal Controls & Compliance: Implement robust internal controls to ensure accurate reporting and regulatory compliance.
Process Improvement: Identify automation opportunities to enhance accounting operations and efficiency.
Audit Coordination: Lead internal and external audits, maintaining compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Qualifications for the Corporate Controller:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required (CPA certification preferred).
Experience: Minimum of 8 years of corporate accounting experience, including leadership roles managing teams, preferably within a corporate or public accounting environment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong proficiency with accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or NetSuite) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills, with a results-driven, detail-oriented approach and the ability to lead teams in a dynamic, hybrid environment.
Industry Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of corporate accounting practices, financial reporting standards, and compliance requirements.
