Location: Stamford, CT

Schedule: Monday to Friday (In-Office)

Our client, a fast-growing SaaS company, is seeking a Corporate Controller in Stamford, CT, to lead accounting operations, revenue recognition, and finance infrastructure. In this role, you’ll manage close processes, ensure ASC 606 compliance, and implement scalable systems in collaboration with Sales and Customer Success. Ideal candidates have strong GAAP knowledge, SaaS accounting experience, and proficiency in NetSuite, Zuora, Stripe, and Salesforce.

• Responsibilities as the Corporate Controller (SaaS):Financial Operations: Manage general ledger activities, journal entries, and reconciliations while leading month- and year-end close processes for SaaS revenue and expenses.
• Revenue Recognition: Ensure accurate application of ASC 606 standards and reconciliation of deferred revenue and customer billing cycles.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Billing, and Customer Success to align data across systems such as Salesforce, Zuora, Stripe, and NetSuite.
• Audit & Compliance: Maintain documentation, support financial audits, and enforce internal controls to ensure compliance readiness.
• Process Automation: Enhance accounting workflows through automation, tool integration, and implementation of scalable finance infrastructure.
• Reporting & Insights: Prepare GAAP financial statements and internal reports while improving SaaS metrics and operational efficiency.
• Qualifications for the Corporate Controller (SaaS):Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Certification: CPA preferred.
• Experience: 8-15 years of SaaS accounting experience, ideally in start-up environments, with a background in building accounting structures and handling stock-based compensation.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficient in NetSuite, QuickBooks, Zuora, Stripe, Salesforce, Excel, and Google Sheets, with familiarity in SaaS billing platforms and metrics like ARR, MRR, churn, and LTV/CAC.
• Skills & Attributes: Detail-oriented and deadline-driven, with strong communication, multitasking, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
