Job summary

Vision Search Partners LLC in the Providence area seeks a Corporate Controller & Finance Director to report to the President & CEO and serve on the Executive Leadership Team. This role is part of the senior leadership overseeing finance across the organization.

It is a hands-on position responsible for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and regulatory compliance for the management company and affiliated entities. Requires deep GAAP and housing program knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA (or CPA-track) preferred.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including 3–5 years in affordable housing, LIHTC, or HUD-regulated multifamily real estate.
• Experience with RealPage, Sage or similar Real Estate accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Broad responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and regulatory compliance across the management company and its five affiliated Limited Partnership property entities.
• Develop and maintain accounting systems, policies and procedures in compliance with US GAAP.
• Hands-on role requiring technical accounting expertise in affordable housing, LIHTC, and HUD-regulated real estate, and ability to build standardized financial reporting.

Our client, a family-owned Real Estate Management Company in the Providence area is seeking a Corporate Controller & Finance Director to report directly to the President & CEO and serve alongside the Director of Operations and Director of HR as a member of the Executive Leadership Team. The Controller has broad responsibility for accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, and regulatory compliance across the management company and its five affiliated Limited Partnership property entities and is responsible for developing and maintaining accounting systems, policies and procedures in compliance with US GAAP. This is a hands-on role requiring technical accounting expertise in affordable housing, LIHTC, and HUD-regulated real estate, and the ability to build standardized financial reporting, document processes, and ensure compliant systems for an organization with new leadership.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field required; CPA (or CPA-track) preferred. Public accounting experience is a plus.
• Minimum 7–10 years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including at least 3–5 years in affordable housing, LIHTC, or HUD-regulated multifamily real estate.
• Experience with RealPage, Sage or similar Real Estate accounting software.
