  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP and applicable group reporting requirements.
  • Research complex accounting matters, including ASC 606, ASC 842, and other relevant standards, and prepare supporting technical accounting memoranda.

  • Maintain standard costing methodologies, including annual updates and ongoing cost accuracy.
  • Partner with FP&A, Operations, and R&D on new product costing, standard cost development, cost analysis, and product cost improvement initiatives, while maintaining ownership of cost accounting accuracy and controls.
  • Analyze manufacturing variances, including purchase price variances, overhead absorption, scrap, and yield, and partner with Operations and FP&A to identify cost reduction and margin improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation, reconciliations, and appropriate reserves for excess, obsolete, and slow-moving inventory.
  • Oversee the accounting aspects of physical inventory counts, inventory movements, and related reconciliations and controls.
  • Ensure the integrity of inventory and accounting data across relevant systems, including Fishbowl and the general ledger, working closely with Operations.

  • Oversee day-to-day cash management, bank reconciliations, payment scheduling, and related controls, with final payment authorization retained by the CFO.
