Job summary

KBW Financial Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a Corporate Controller for a global medical device and manufacturing client based in Salem, New Hampshire. The role leads the global accounting organization, partners with the CFO, and drives financial reporting, internal controls, and manufacturing cost accounting across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has CPA and 10+ years in accounting/finance, with multi-site manufacturing experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and a track record building teams

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Lead the global accounting and financial reporting function across a multi-entity organization.
  • Oversee global consolidations, month-end close, U.S. GAAP reporting, internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit activities.
  • Lead manufacturing and cost accounting, including inventory accounting, standard costing, variances, valuation, and working capital analysis across multiple facilities.
  • Build and strengthen internal controls, documentation, testing, remediation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner with the CFO and executive leadership to provide financial insight for strategic decisions.
  • Support M&A activity, due diligence, purchase accounting and post-close integrations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global accounting team and drive finance transformation and ERP optimization.

Corporate Controller – Global Medical Device & Manufacturing

Compensation: $190-240k base plusbonus

KBW Financial has partnered with a growing global medical device and advanced manufacturing organization in its search for a Corporate Controller.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for a hands-on finance executive who can operate at both the strategic and operational level. The Corporate Controller will lead the global accounting organization, partner closely with the CFO and senior leadership, and play a key role in strengthening financial reporting, controls, manufacturing accounting, systems, and processes as the business continues to grow.

The ideal candidate brings deep accounting leadership experience within a complex, multi-site manufacturing environment and enjoys building teams, improving processes, and creating scalable finance infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the global accounting and financial reporting function, ensuring timely, accurate, and insightful financial results across a complex, multi-entity organization.
  • Oversee global consolidations, month-end close, U.S. GAAP reporting, internal controls, accounting policies, and external audit activities.
  • Lead manufacturing and cost accounting, including inventory accounting, standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory valuation, and working capital analysis across multiple facilities.
  • Build and strengthen the company's internal control environment, including process documentation, testing, remediation, and continuous improvement.
  • Partner directly with the CFO, executive leadership, manufacturing, and operations teams to provide financial insight and support strategic decision-making.
  • Support M&A activity, due diligence, purchase accounting, and post-close integrations, helping ensure acquired businesses are successfully incorporated into the broader finance organization.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a global accounting team, creating a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous development.
  • Drive finance transformation and process improvement, including automation, standardization, ERP optimization, reporting enhancements, and scalable accounting processes.
Qualifications
  • CPA required with a bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, ideally including a strong public accounting foundation.
  • Prior experience as a Corporate Controller, Assistant Controller, Director of Accounting, or similar senior accounting leader.
  • Significant experience within a complex manufacturing environment, including cost accounting, inventory, standard costing, and multi-site operations.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, global consolidations, financial reporting, internal controls, and external audit management.
  • Proven experience leading and developing accounting teams across multiple locations.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to communicate effectively across Finance, Operations, and senior leadership.
  • Experience with medical device, technology, aerospace & defense, industrial, or advanced manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
  • Exposure to private equity-backed or publicly traded organizations, M&A integrations, ERP optimization, SEC reporting, and international accounting is a plus.
