POSITION OVERVIEW

FTC is recruiting an enthusiastic and motivated leader to be our Corporate Controller reporting to the Chief Accounting Officer. You will play a critical role in strategic decision making and operations as the company continues to enhance its business processes and undergoes rapid growth. We are looking for a high energy, hands-on participatory manager who will lead the accounting teams and will have a successful track record in setting priorities, excellent analytic, organization and communication skills. You have a strong foundational knowledge of US GAAP and understand the SEC reporting requirements to effectively interface with the external reporting area. You will partner closely with Financial Planning, Legal, Sales, R&D and Operations to ensure that we are appropriately accounting for our operations and that we have strong internal controls over our financial reporting. Additionally, you will support the implementation of global accounting policies and the resolution of complex transactions. RESPONSIBILITIES

· Ensure timely, accurate and efficient accounting close monthly

· Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with US GAAP

· Review monthly account reconciliations prepared by the accounting teams

· Manage the quarterly reviews and financial audit process performed by our independent CPA firm

· Manage global accounting operations including revenue and project accounting, general ledger, accounts receivable, statutory and accounts payable teams

· Provide business functions with information, metrics, and counsel to effectively manage the business to achieve corporate goals

· Ensure accuracy of physical inventory maintained by third party

· Enhance accounting department’s use of software and lead improvements in the automation of accounting and business processes

· Develop, analyze, improve, document, and implement internal controls

· Develop, maintain, and enhance accounting and finance policies, procedures, and processes

· Liaison with the technical accounting team and tax team providing operations accounting expertise

· Scale the accounting function to keep pace with fast growth by selecting and developing highly effective and efficient global finance team

QUALIFICATIONS

· Excellent leadership skills with experience managing a global accounting organization

· Minimum of 10 plus years’ experience - Big Four public accounting experience preferred

· Minimum 4 years direct work experience managing various general ledger operations

· Bachelor's degree in accounting and CPA required; MS or MBA preferred

· Strong knowledge of US GAAP and working knowledge of ASC 606 required

· Ability to clearly and concisely document and effectively communicate complex accounting and reporting issues to finance and non-finance personnel

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

· High attention to detail and possess high level of integrity

· Strong knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance requirements

· Excellent software proficiency and understanding of technology, in general

· Experience at a fast-paced, global company managing and coaching teams effectively

· Highly proficient in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint; NetSuite a plus

· Strong interpersonal skills appropriate to executive and board-level reporting
