The company is a fast-growing, private equity-backed B2B services business. Reporting to the CFO, we are seeking a Corporate Controller or VP of Finance/Accounting to join the finance leadership team. We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys growing a business. As a partner to the CFO, the Controller will help develop a best-in-class accounting function, ensuring proper people, processes, systems, and data are in place, along with accurate GAAP reporting to support scaling. There is also an opportunity to help build the FP&A function and contribute strategically on the commercial side.

• Oversee operational accounting to ensure control and SLA compliance in AP, AR, and Sales Tax.
• Manage revenue recognition in accordance with ASC606.
• Lead monthly close procedures, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting in compliance with GAAP.
• Coordinate annual audits and tax compliance, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Administer accounting systems, including ERP (NetSuite) and expense management systems.
• Prepare performance comparisons and share insights with business partners.
• Assist the CFO with financial analysis to identify operational improvements, analyze cost structures, and evaluate investment opportunities (ROI/NPV).
• Hire, train, and develop staff to meet organizational growth needs.

Experience:

• BA/BS degree required.
• CPA and advanced degrees/certifications preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and technical accounting (e.g., ASC606).
• 7-10+ years of progressive accounting experience in services or related industries, including at least 3 years in a Controller or senior leadership role.
• Experience in private equity-backed controllership roles with measurable results, including financial reporting and cash management, is preferred.
• Experience with M&A, PPA, and acquisition integration is a plus.
