Controller – Growing Healthcare Organization

A rapidly expanding healthcare organization with a national footprint is seeking an experienced and forward-thinking Controller to lead its financial operations. This is a pivotal leadership role for a strategic financial expert aiming to build, scale, and optimize the company's financial foundation, especially in value-based care.

You will work closely with senior leadership to ensure financial accuracy, compliance, and transparency, while identifying opportunities to improve performance and streamline reporting. This role offers a chance to influence key decisions and shape the organization’s financial strategies.

What You’ll Do

Lead and manage core financial functions:

1. Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, revenue recognition, AP/AR, inventory, fixed assets, and cash flow.
2. Prepare, analyze, and interpret financial statements and reports.
3. Supervise and mentor finance staff, promoting high performance.
4. Collaborate across departments to assess operational metrics and performance trends.
5. Implement and maintain closing processes, billing systems, and expense protocols in line with GAAP and SOX standards.
6. Reconcile expenses and vendor contracts to ensure proper accounting and timely payments.
7. Review monthly journal entries, variances, and close procedures.
8. Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling tied to operational KPIs.
9. Design and deploy financial reporting tools and dashboards.
10. Lead internal audits, support risk assessments, and oversee tax activities.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; Master’s preferred.
• At least 7 years of full-cycle accounting experience, healthcare experience highly preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years in managerial or supervisory roles.
• Proficiency with NetSuite and Microsoft Office Suite.
• CPA certification highly preferred.
